PhotoCamp Houston

Organized by Katherine Sunstrom

PhotoCamp is Almost Here!
We are loving our PhotoCamp sponsors! Camp is only 8 days away and we still need more of your generous donations so that we can provide lunch and several other miscellaneous items to spice up your PhotoCamp experience. Also, please know that any left-over funds will be used in our next PhotoCamp event! This is only the Beginning!

We will continue to accept donations through and after the event. If donating after January 24, PayPal payments to katie.sunstrom@gmail.com and designate it for use in PhotoCamp Houston.

However, if you want your name to appear on the back of our schedule card, you must have your donation in by Sunday, January 18th!!!

Also, please know that you are welcome to make "in-kind" donations or bring SWAG with your company logo to hand out during the event. We love pens, stickers, t-shirts, coupon codes, gift certificates, etc. Thanks again!

Peace and Love,
Your PhotoCamp Houston Counselors

PhotoCamp is coming soon!

PhotoCamp Houston is happening January 24, 2009 at the Houston Technology Center. For more information, visit http://barcamp.org/PhotoCampHouston
Begin 2009 with a bang! Sponsor PhotoCamp Houston!
In early 2009 we are going to be participating in an event called PhotoCamp Houston and we want you to have the opportunity to get involved. PhotoCamp Houston will span a weekend and will be a meeting place for photography enthusiasts and professionals to share ideas. We hope that PhotoCamp Houston will bring together every level of photog, from the most professional expert to the most remedial
point and shoot hobbyist.
Borrowing from the BarCamp “unconference” rules, the participants will lead PhotoCamp. The audience members are also the speakers; the participants are also the discussion leaders. If previous BarCamps and PhotoCamps are any indication, the participants will be a veritable who’s who of Houston digital and print media. However, we need your help to make this goal possible and make the event a success for each camper! In keeping with the “unconference” medium, there is no press kit, advertising data, suggested donation or sponsorship gift. This is your opportunity to make your sponsorship whatever you want it to be.
I will tell you that there is a need for money to support the purchase of food, drinks, supplies, t-shirts, advertising and “unconference” take-aways. This is your organization’s opportunity to get in on this flagship event, a first for Houston. Your brand or company name will have immediate exposure to at least two-hundred PhotoCamp participants, many of whom influence the culture and purchase habits of their friends, acquaintances, and fans. We all would like to think of ourselves as the interactive media and photography elite; this is who we hope will come to PhotoCamp. Being a PhotoCamp sponsor is like having a celebrity wear your t-shirt or carry your luggage. It gives you priceless and instant street cred and we could all use a little bit of that. Use the ChipIn button on this page to make a monetary donation. For "in kind" donations, please email photcamphouston@gmail.com.

Sincerely,
Your PhotoCamp Houston Counselors
